Green Night

Impression of the Painting.

The painting "Green Night" is inspired by the view of the artist's childhood street. A poor, abandoned block on the outskirts of the city with a single lamppost and a column, where residents of the block came for water during the day. At night, the block immersed itself in a green, velvety stillness, influenced by the nearby blooming river.

At night, it was as if time stood still there. And in winter, the water from the column froze on the ground. We skated on the ice, and grandmothers with buckets on it would fall. We laughed...

Creation of the Painting.

The painting was started by the artist in 2014. Gostev painted it slowly, constantly changing something. By this time, the artist had already gathered the experience of his great predecessors and conducted his own research in painting, defining a unique style understood by everyone - perfect simplicity of forms right on the border of abstraction.

The only original of the painting "Green Night" by Anatoli Gostev is privately owned. The artist's copyright extends to the eternal right of authorship of a unique work of art.
