The still life emerged in 2007. In 2020, the artist completely reworked it, simplifying it to the maximum. In his paintings, Gostev often celebrated the beauty of everyday things. Still life is a beautiful theme for capturing simplicity. The narrow color palette did not hinder the artist from skillfully creating a color extravaganza. He repeatedly noted that the mastery of color is not in the quantity of colors but in the right combination.
Fate of the Painting.
The painting was not considered finished by the artist, and to his credit, it must be said that all his canvases can be considered complete at any stage. The painting "Green Bottle and Pears" never participated in exhibitions and remained in the artist's studio until his passing in 2022.
