The painting is inspired by the everyday life of people who come home after a hard day and snuggle together and share their impressions. Evening conversation of river ships scurrying through the canals of a colored city about the cargo transported during the day and the distances traveled.- Anatoli Gostev
The whole composition seems to go in a circle, bringing the eye from the quiet pier of the weary barges.
